GCSE/IGCSE
Service Description
The GCSE (General Certificate of Secondary Education) is a key academic qualification in the UK secondary education system, typically taken by students aged 14 to 16 (Years 10–11). For international students, the equivalent qualification is the IGCSE (International GCSE), which is tailored to a global context. The GCSE curriculum spans a wide range of subjects, including languages, mathematics, sciences, social sciences, humanities, and the arts. In addition to core compulsory subjects, students have the flexibility to choose several elective subjects based on their interests and future goals. The program usually runs over two years, with final assessments graded on a scale from 9 to 1—9 being the highest. GCSEs serve as an essential foundation for further academic pathways such as A-Levels or the International Baccalaureate (IB). They also offer students the opportunity to explore diverse areas of study and discover their personal strengths and passions.
